Coach K & Bobby Knight

Bobby Knight, the all-time wins leader in NCAA Men's history, has resigned from Texas Tech tonight and has likely coached his last game. He finished his amazing coaching career with 902 wins...

As of Monday, Coach K has 794 wins. Since 1996 (when Coach K returned from back surgery), he has averaged an astounding 28.7 wins per season. He is 108 wins shy so if he held on that average, he should do it in 4 years --when incoming freshman Eliot Williams will be a Senior. If Coach K coaches until he's 70 (9 more years), he has a shot at over 1,000 wins!!! That would be ridiculous...

I hope it happens and I hope win #795 comes at the hands of North Carolina on Wednesday...

With all the flack that Bobby Knight takes over his coaching style and his attitude, he doesn't get enough good press for graduating his players and not having recruiting violations like other coaches.

Sampson seems to have been busted yet again for recruiting violations. I hope Indiana enjoys their time on probation.
