Big Trouble

DBR is reporting that Brian Zoubek has broken his foot again. According to what you hear, it looks like the same injury and it took him 2 months to return from the first injury. I think the NCAA Tournament is the next time you will see him or possibly next year. That's a huge break, pardon the pun, for Duke and for a team that is already thin in the post, it could really affect their seeding in the tournament because beating the likes of UNC or Clemson will be tough...

Losing Marty Pocius didn't hurt as much because of Duke's depth at the guard slot but although he's not a huge contributor, this will cost Duke some games this year...

Very tough...BTW, I didn't see the Cornell game because I went out to watch the Giant game and didn't get home in time and my TIVO is broken. Even though I don't like what I read, I'm not going to go crazy because they had a 17 day layoff.

Next up is Temple on Wednesday in Philly. The game should be a little closer than last year but Duke's athleticism and depth at the guard should be too much but hey, I was the guy that predicted a 45 point victory over Cornell

I must disagree with how this affects Duke. It does suck to lose Zoubek, however I think that he won't affect are games as much as you think. This also give Thomas and McClure more opportunities for playing time. I think you won't see a big drop off. If we lose, it will be because of shots not falling and bad defense.
